I Carry Your Heart
Halloween special poem

I board the train, first-class compartment.
A passenger looks up at the smell.
But, there are things that are more important.
Coz, I carry your heart with me.
As I walk, the stray dogs stare at me.
Their teeth barred, ready to bark and attack.
I stare back at them with an ominous glee.
Coz, I carry your heart with me.
I see a dingy building at the end of the street.
It never looks like a hospital.
But, they’d do anything for a piece of meat.
And, I carry your heart with me.
Lady in white-coat welcomes with a smile.
I handover the gift-wrapped box to her.
To reach home, I have to walk back a mile.
But now I don’t carry your heart with me.
