What Can You Do About It?

A list poem

1. Stare at the wall as if further omens would break through it, thrashing bricks at your restless mind.

2. Relive the sounds and screams or drown them out with music you have missed listening to.

3. Place your shock overnight under moonlight. Let it cleanse. You need it for something else.

4. Daydream about a hundred different possibilities where something more gut-wrenching could have transpired.

5. Rescript the whole event and give it a happy ending.

6. Feel the pulse charging through your phalanges. It is singing to you - You are so full of love.

7. Ribbon your kith and kin's you-could-haves, cast a spell on them, and throw the package into the sea.

8. Tear up. Release the helplessness. Embrace it and croon to it that it's okay.

9. Turn it into art. It's your mind that needs the utmost healing.
